SUPPLIER IDENTIFICATION PROCEDURE [AUDIO]
NOTE:
- The supplier can vary with the unit. When asking the supplier (service center) for repair or replacement, identify the supplier and fill in the Audio Repair Order Form with the following procedures.
Identification Using the Label or Inscribed Lettering
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the following parts:
a. Side wall Side Wall Removal/Installation
b. Center console box Center Console Box Removal/Installation
c. Console panel Console Panel Removal/Installation
d. Center console Center Console Removal/Installation
e. Shift lever knob (MTX) Service and Repair
f. Selector lever knob (ATX) Automatic Transaxle Shift Mechanism Removal/Installation
g. Shift panel Shift Panel Removal/Installation
h. Front console Front Console Removal/Installation
i. Climate control unit Service and Repair
j. Upper column cover Service and Repair
k. Instrument cluster Removal and Replacement
l. Switch panel Service and Repair
m. Audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation
3. Verify the supplier by referring to the label attached to each unit.
Verify Using the Diagnostic Assist Function
1. Switch the ignition to ACC or ON.
2. While pressing the POWER/VOLUME switch, simultaneously press the PRESET 5 button for 3 s or more.
3. Identify the supplier code by referring to the information display.
NOTE:
- The supplier code can also be identified from the DTC displays screen.
4. Switch the ignition OFF (LOCK) to stop the diagnostic assist function.
