MIL ON-P0442, P0455, P0456 SET - REVISED DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE/NEW SST

DESCRIPTION

This bulletin is to inform of a new SST in conjunction with the revised diagnosis procedure for MIL Illumination P0442, P0455, and P0456. The new procedure is available on MS3 (Mazda Service Support System).

- P0442: Evaporative emission control system leak detected (small leak)

- P0455: Evaporative emission control system leak detected (gross leak)

- P0456: Evaporative emission control system leak detected (very small leak)

The new procedure allows the evaporative system to be tested with the fuel cap installed.

ACTION RECOMMENDED

When you encounter the subject concerns, perform the new diagnosis procedure using the newly established Evaporative Emissions Fitting SST's outlined in the SST INFORMATION section.

^ Use with Mazda Evaporative Emissions Tester to pressurize the evaporative emission system to test for leaks.
