Water Pump: Service and Repair

WATER PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Drain the engine coolant.
2. Remove the flesh air duct and air cleaner.
3. Remove the exhaust manifold insulator.
4. Remove the timing belt.
5. Remove the P/S oil pump with the oil hose still connected. Position the P/S oil pump so that is out of the way.
6. Remove the A/C compressor and A/C compressor bracket with the pipe still connected. Position the A/C compressor so that it is out of the way.
7. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
8. Install in the reverse order of removal.

- Install a new gasket with the sealing ring facing the water pump.
