Daytime Running Lamp Resistor: Testing and Inspection

(DRL) DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT INSPECTION

CAUTION: Determine and correct the cause of the burnt fuse before replacing it with the specified type. If the fuse is replaced before doing this, it may burn again.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the DRL resistor connector.
3. Confirm that the DRL resistor fuse is okay.
4. if the DRL resistor fuse is burnt, replace it with a new one.







5. Inspect for resistance between the DRL resistor terminals A and B by using an ohmmeter.
6. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the DRL resistor.
