Thermostat: Service and Repair

THERMOSTAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the ignition coil (KL).
3. Drain the engine coolant.
4. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Thermostat Installation Note





1. Verify that the jiggle pin is aligned with the projection of the thermostat gasket as shown.





2. Install the thermostat into the thermostat case, aligning the projection on the gasket to the thermostat case as shown.
