Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove the driver-side air bag module. (Refer to DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2. Disconnect the clock spring connector.






3. Check for continuity between the clock spring terminals.
If not as specified, replace the clock spring.

NOTE: To prevent unexpected air bag deployment, terminals 1A and 1B are shorted when disconnected from the vehicle's main harness.
