DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY
1. Disassembly in the order indicated in the illustration, noting the following steps.
2. Assembly in the reverse order of disassembly indicated in the table.

NOTE: The following procedure is for replacement of the O-rings only. Replace the pump component if other repairs are necessary.





Oil Pump Disassembly Note (1)

CAUTION: The oil pump may be damaged when it is secured in a vise. Use the Special Service Tool (SST) to prevent damage to the pump when securing it in a vise.

Rotor Assembly Note (15)





Install the rotor to the shaft with rotor's identification mark facing upward.

Cam Ring Assembly Note (13)





Install the cam ring in the front pump body with the mark facing downward.

Blade Assembly Note (16)





Place the blades in the rotor with the rounded edges contacting the cam.

Rear Pump Body Assembly Note (11)
After installing the rear pump body, manually turn the shaft to verify that it rotates smoothly.
