Removal and Installation
1. Discharge the refrigerant from the system.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the side panel, glove compartment, and glove compartment cover.
4. Remove No.1 duct. (With air bag system)
5. Disconnect the air intake wire from air intake link of the blower unit. (Wire type)
CAUTION:
- If moisture or foreign material enters the refrigeration cycle, cooling ability will be lowered and abnormal noise will occur. Always immediately plug all open fittings after re moving any refrigeration cycle parts to keep moisture or foreign material out of the cycle.
6. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
8. Adjust the air intake wire.
9. Charge the system and test its performance.
Cooling Unit Installation Note
- When installing a new cooling unit (evaporator), add SP-10 compressor oil through the high-pressure side of the A/C compressor.
Supplemental amount: 50 ml (50 cc, 1.7 fl oz)
