Air Bag Modules Deployment Authorization Procedures

1. Install a new SAS unit. Verify that the air bag system warning light flashes approximately 6 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to ON.
2. If a diagnostic trouble code is indicated, perform the appropriate AIR BAG SYSTEM ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS. (Refer to AIR BAG SYSTEM ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS.)
3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK then back to ON while the air bag system warning light flashes continuously. If the procedures have been performed correctly, the air bag system warning light will illuminate, then turn off after approximately 6 seconds.
4. If the light stays on, perform the deployment authorization procedure again.
