Timing Belt Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the RF wheel.
3. Remove the RH splash shield (1).
4. Remove the drive belts (2).
5. Remove the water pump (3) and crank (4) pulleys.
6. Remove the spark plug wires (5).
7. Remove the valve cover (6) and the dipstick and tube brace (7).
8. Remove the upper timing belt cover (8).
9. Support the engine using SST 49 G017 5A0 or equivalent.
10. Remove the No.3 engine mount bracket (9).
11. Remove the middle (10) and lower (11) timing belt covers.
12. If you are going to reuse the belt, mark it's direction of rotation now as shown.
13. Using SST 49 D011 102 or equivalent, remove the pulley lock bolt and remove the pulley boss (12).
14. Remove the idler pulley (13).
15. Loosen the tensioner pulley lock bolt.
16. Pull the tensioner in the direction of the arrow until the timing belt is slack and remove the timing belt.
