Valve Body: Testing and Inspection

SOLENOID VALVES
Checking resistance:
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the battery and air cleaner assembly.
3. Disconnect the solenoid connector.
4. Measure the resistance between each terminal (A, B, D, F) and a ground.

Resistance: 13 - 27 ohms

5. If not as specified, replace the solenoid valve.
6. Connect the solenoid connector.
7. Install the air cleaner assembly and battery.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.




Inspection of operation:
1. Disconnect the solenoid connector.
2. Using a jumper wire apply 12+ volts at terminals A, B, D, & F and listen for a "click" sound at all solenoid valves.
3. If the "click" is not heard, replace the solenoid valve.
