Temperature Gauge: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove instrument cluster as described in appropriate chassis section, then connect B+ to instrument cluster terminal 2F and ground to terminal 2C, Fig. 33.
2. Connect special tool positive lead to instrument cluster terminal 1F, Fig. 33, and ground negative lead.
3. Ensure temperature gauge reads hot when special tool resistance setting is 16.2 ohms and cold when setting is 153.0 ohms.
4. If results are not as specified, replace temperature gauge assembly.
