DESCRIPTION
Water may settle in the area between the head lamp assembly and the bumper. This water may appear to customers as moisture inside the head lamp. Service managers and advisors should explain to customers that the water is actually located on the bumper and is not inside the head lamp assembly.
If a customer complains of the head lamp appearance, perform the procedure below.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Remove head lamp.
2. Thoroughly clean the bottom surface of the head lamp.
3. Apply black sealing tape evenly across the bottom surface of the head lamp.
NOTE:
Avoid air bubbles in tape.
CAUTION:
Due to head lamp heat, use only the recommended tape for this repair.
4. Install head lamp.
5. Repeat on opposite side.
6. Check alignment.
