Installation
1. Install rear lower lateral link.2. Install rear lower lateral link dust boot as follows:
a. Wipe any grease off ball stud, then fill inside of new dust boot with suitable grease.
b. Press boot onto ball joint using dust boot installer tool No. 49 T028 302, or equivalent, then wipe away excess grease.
3. Install rear lower lateral link inner ball joint, then locknut.
4. Install rear lower lateral link outer ball joint, then nut and cotter pin.
5. Install upper lateral link dust boot as follows:
a. Wipe any grease off ball stud, then fill inside of new dust boot with suitable grease.
b. Press boot onto ball joint using dust boot installer tool No.49 T028 302, or equivalent, then wipe away excess grease.
6. Install upper lateral link.
7. Install cam plate so notch faces same direction as adjusting cam bolt, then align marks made previously and tighten cam plate nut to specifications.
8. Install upper lateral link ball joint, then nut and cotter pin.
9. Install damper bushing as follows:
a. Apply soapy water to new damper bushing, then insert new bushing on lower lateral link (chamfered side), Fig. 13.

b. Position dust boot installer tool Nos. 49 T028 201 and 49 T028 203, or equivalents, on lower lateral link, Fig. 14, then press in bushing until pressure gauge starts to increase sharply.

c. Turn lower lateral link and dust boot installer tool No. 49 T028 203, or equivalent, to opposite side and position as specified, Fig. 15.

d. Press in bushing until pressure gauge starts to increase sharply.
10. Install lower lateral link bushing as follows:
a. Apply soapy water to new bushing, then insert new bushing to lower lateral link (chamfered side).
b. Draw line 0.23 inch from bottom of rubber bushing remover tool No. 49 T028 202, or equivalent, then position rubber bushing remover tool and support block tool No. 59 T028 2A0, or equivalent, Fig. 16.

c. Press in support block tool with bushing down to line drawn on bushing remover tool, then turn lower lateral link to opposite side and position tools as specified, Fig. 17.

d. Using tools, press bushing in until pressure gauge starts to increase sharply.
11. Install lower lateral link dust boot as follows:
a. Wipe any grease off ball stud and fill inside of new dust boot with grease.
b. Press boot onto ball joint using suitable steel plate and dust boot installer tool No. 49 T034 201, or equivalent.
12. Install lower lateral link, then lower lateral link ball joint.
13. Install nut, then the cotter pin.
