Disassemble power steering gear in numbered sequence shown, Fig. 19, noting the following:
1. Mark tie rod end position for installation reference prior to loosening.
2. Remove tie rod using removal tool No. 49-H032-301, or equivalent.
3. Remove adjusting cover locknut using tool No. 49-T032-303, or equivalent, and adjusting cover using tool No. 49-H032-331, or equivalent.
4. Use tool No. 49-T032-301, or equivalent, and a suitable press to remove ball bearing, then use press and tool No. 49-G033-102, or equivalent, to remove upper bearing and oil seal.
5. When removing rack, oil seal and back-up washer, install tool No. 49-H032-323, or equivalent, over rack end and draw components outward as an assembly.
