A/C DOES NOT BLOW COLD AIR RELAY FAILURE

AFFECTED MODELS
All 1996 MX-5 Miata vehicles with A/C.

DESCRIPTION

Warm air coming from the vents during A/C operation may be caused by A/C relay failure. This relay failure may prevent compressor clutch engagement or A/C condenser fan operation.

Customers complaining of this concern should have the vehicle inspected and if necessary, repaired according to this bulletin.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify concern.





2. Remove A/C relay and verify production date. Refer to Fig. 1

^ If the relay was produced in 1995, replace the relay.

^ If the relay was produced in 1996, refer to the workshop manual for troubleshooting and repair information.

3. Verify repair.
