Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION
- Warm up the engine to the normal operating temperature and run it at idle.





- Disconnect the PCV valve together with the ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover.
- Block the PCV valve opening.

PCV Valve:

- Verify that vacuum is felt.
- Remove the PCV valve.
- Blow through the valve from port "A" and verify that air comes out from port "B".
- Blow through the valve from port "B" and verify that no air comes out from port "A".
- Replace the PCV valve if necessary.
