Instrument Cluster / Carrier: Service and Repair

1. On models with audio anti-theft system, obtain radio deactivation code prior to disconnecting battery ground cable, then deactivate system as outlined under Technician Safety Information.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Remove lower steering column cover, Fig. 3.
4. Remove steering column support bolts, then the lower steering column. Use caution not to overstress wiring or connectors.
5. Remove instrument cluster bezel.
6. Remove cluster attaching bolts, pull cluster rearward and disconnect speedometer cable and electrical connectors.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
