EGR Control Solenoid: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
Through its control of EGR vent and vacuum solenoid valves, the PCME regulates EGR system function.

LOCATION
Bracket on back of intake manifold.

OPERATION
Vacuum valve opens the vacuum passage to the EGR valve; vent valve vents vacuum from the vacuum valve and EGR valve.
