Throttle Body: Testing and Inspection

Throttle Body Inspection:

1. Verify that throttle valve is fully closed when in the released position.
2. Operate throttle valve completely through its range of movement from fully closed to fully open. Verify that valve moves smoothly with no binding.
3. Visually inspect throttle body for damage.
4. If throttle valve does not operate as described or damage is detected that will impair functioning (cracks, for example), replace throttle body assembly.
