Valve Body: Testing and Inspection
Inspection1. Disconnect the solenoid valve connector.
2. Measure resistance between each terminal and a ground. Terminals A, B, C and D are for the 1-2 shift, 2-3 shift, 3-4 shift, and lockup solenoid valves respectively.
Resistance: 13-27 ohms
Note ^ 1-2 shift solenoid valve: A
^ 2-3 shift solenoid valve: B
^ 3-4 shift solenoid valve: C
^ Lockup solenoid valve: D
3. If not correct, check the wiring for an open-or short-circuit. Replace the solenoid valve.
Continuity
1. Disconnect the 26-pin connector from the powertrain control module (transaxle).
2. Check continuity between terminals 3W, 3X, 3Y, and 3Z, and a ground.
3. If not correct, check the wiring for an open circuit.
