Evaporative Check Valve: Testing and Inspection
TWO-WAY CHECK VALVETwo-Way Check Valve:
1. Remove valve.
2. Check operation with vacuum pump.
3. Apply approximately 1.46 inHg (37 mmHg) vacuum to port A. Check that air flows through valve.
4. Apply approximately 1.73 inHg (44 mmHg) vacuum to port B. Check that air flows through valve.
5. If not as specified, replace valve.
CHECK-AND-CUT VALVE
Check-And-Cut Valve:
1. Remove valve and plug port C.
2. Connect pressure gauge to passage connected to fuel tank. Hold valve horizontally.
3. Blow from port A and verify that valve opens at 0.92 - 12.09 psi (6.38 - 8.34 kPa).
4. Connect gauge to passage to atmosphere.
5. Blow from port B and verify that valve opens at 0.14 - 0.71 psi (0.98 - 4.91 kPa).
6. If not as specified, replace valve.
