Hold Pressure

Line Pressure:

NOTE: Perform this inspection if fuel pressure hold inspection is not as specified.

WARNING: ^Release fuel pressure.
^Keep sparks, cigarettes, and open flames away.

1. Disconnect negative battery terminal.
2. Connect pressure gauge between filter and main fuel hose as shown.
3. Connect battery.
4. Ground data link connector terminal F/P with jumper wire.
5. Turn ignition "ON" for 10 seconds to run fuel pump.
6. Turn ignition "OFF" and disconnect jumper wire.
7. Pinch off fuel return hose with proper tool and observe fuel pressure for 5 minutes:

HOLD PRESSURE: More Than 21 psi (147 kPa)

8. If not as specified, replace regulator.
