Pressure Regulator Control Solenoid Testing:

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. Start engine and run at idle.
2. Disconnect vacuum hose (yellow) from pressure regulator and verify that vacuum is felt.
3. Ground solenoid terminal B with jumper wire and verify that no vacuum is felt.
4. If vacuum exists, check solenoid valve.

SOLENOID VALVE INSPECTION

1. Remove solenoid valve.
2. Blow through valve from port A and verify that air flows from port B.
3. Apply battery voltage across solenoid terminals.
4. Blow through port A and verify that air flows from valve air filter.
5. If not as specified, replace solenoid valve.
