Throttle Cable/Linkage: Service and Repair

CABLE

Accelerator Cable Adjustment:

1. Remove cable from throttle lever.
2. Loosen adjustment nuts and remove cable from bracket.
3. Compress tabs of stay C and remove cable from pedal arm.
4. Compress tabs of stay D and push cable through firewall.
5. Remove cable. Install in reverse order.
6. Adjust free play after installation.

PEDAL

Accelerator Pedal And Cable:

1. Disconnect cable from pedal arm.
2. Remove retaining clip and pedal assembly as shown in image.
3. Install in reverse order. Ensure that pedal moves without binding or sticking.
