Leakage Test

Injector Leakage Check (1):






WARNING: Fuel line spills and leaks can be dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious injuries or death and can damage the vehicle. Fuel can also irritate skin and eyes. To preven this from happening, release fuel pressure before disconnecting any fuel system lines or hoses.

1. Carefully wire each injector to fuel rail as shown.
2. Disconnect electrical connectors and remove injector/fuel rail assembly with fuel hoses still attached.

Injector Leakage Check (2):






3. Connect a jumper wire across data link connector terminals F/P and GND. Turn ignition switch ON.
4. Tilt injectors approximately 60 degrees and verify that any leaks are not greater than specification of one drop per 2 minutes.
5. Replace injector(s) that leak more than specified.
6. Turn ignition OFF and remove jumper wire.
