With Automatic Transaxle (ATX)

PREPARATION
1. Warm engine to operating temperature.
2. Turn all electrical loads "OFF."
Headlight switch
- Blower switch
- Rear window defroster switch

SST-49 B019 9A0:

3. Connect special service tool (SST) #49 B019 9A0 to data link connector.

NOTE: If SST is not used, install jumper wire across TEN and GND terminals of data link connector.

View: Tachometer Connections:

4. Connect tachometer to data link connector IG- terminal.

ADJUSTMENT
1. Set SST switch A to position 1 and test switch to SELF TEST.
2. Check that idle speed is within specification.

Idle Speed: (N or P range) 640 - 700 rpm.

NOTE: Check and adjust with engine coolant fan "OFF."

View: Adjusting Idle Speed:

3. If not within specifications, adjust the idle by turning the air-adjusting screw.
4. Disconnect SST or jumper wire.
