Variable Induction System: Testing and Inspection

View: Tachometer Connections:

1. Start engine and run at idle.
2. Connect tachometer to the data link connector IG-terminal as shown.

3. Open throttle and verify that rod is pulled into shutter valve actuators 1 and 2 at engine speed specified on chart.

NOTE: Shutter valve actuator operation cannot be checked unless a load condition exists while engine speed is within 1900 - 2600 rpm as shown on chart.
