Throttle Body: Service and Repair

Intake Air System R&R:

COMPONENTS
1. Strut bar
2. Fresh air duct
3. Air cleaner housing
4. Resonance duct
5. Volume airflow sensor
6. Air intake hose
7. Accelerator cable
8. Throttle body
9. Spacer
10. By-pass air control (BAC) valve
11. Intake manifold
12. Air intake pipe

REMOVAL
1. Remove in order shown, referring to Removal Notes.
2. Check components for damage and repair or replace as needed.
3. Install in reverse order, referring to Installation Notes.

REMOVAL NOTES:
1. Before disconnecting fuel line, release fuel pressure.
2. Before disconnecting water hose from BAC valve, drain coolant.

INSTALLATION NOTES:

View: Air Intake Pipe:

1. Apply small amount of clean engine oil to air intake pipe O-rings. Install pipe carefully to avoid O-ring damage.
2. Tighten bolts in order shown.
