Evaporative Emissions System: Testing and Inspection

1. Warm engine to operating temperature and run at idle.
2. Disconnect vacuum hose from purge solenoid valve.

View: Checking For Vacuum:

3. Check that no vacuum is felt.

View: Neutral Switch Connector:

4. Unplug neutral switch connector.
5. Connect tachometer and raise engine speed to 1200 rpm.
6. Check that vacuum is felt for approximately 10 seconds after the above specified conditions are met.
