Maximum Pressure Inspection

WARNING: Fuel line spills and leaks are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious injuries or death and damage. Fuel can also irritate skin and eyes. To prevent this, always complete the "Fuel Line Safety Procedures".
Technician Safety Information

NOTE: Obtain audio anti-theft access code before disconnecting battery cables.

1. Disconnect battery negative terminal.


View: Fuel Pressure Gauge Test Connections:





2. Connect fuel pressure gauge to fuel main pipe and plug outlet as shown.
3. Connect battery.


Connect A Suitable Jumper Wire As Shown:





4. Connect data link connector terminals F/P and GND with jumper wire.
5. Turn ignition ON to operate fuel pump.
6. Measure pump maximum pressure.

Fuel pump maximum pressure: 480 - 657 kPa (70 - 95 psi)

7. If not as specified, replace pump.
