Thermostat: Service and Repair

1. Drain engine coolant from radiator assembly.
2. Disconnect radiator hose from thermostat housing, then remove housing cover retaining bolts
3. Remove thermostat, then clean gasket material from housing mating surfaces.
4. Install new thermostat and gasket.
5. Install thermostat housing, then the radiator hose.
6. Fill cooling system.
7. Check system for leaks.
