Throttle Body: Service and Repair

Intake System R&R:

1. Remove components in order shown, referring to REMOVAL NOTE.
2. Inspect parts and replace as needed.
3. Install in reverse order of removal. Refer to INSTALLATION NOTE.

COMPONENTS

1. Strut bar
2. Fresh air duct
3. Air cleaner housing
4. Resonance duct
5. Volume air flow sensor
6. Air intake hose
7. Accelerator cable
8. Throttle body
9. Spacer
10. BAC valve
11. Intake manifold
12. Air intake pipe

REMOVAL NOTE

1. Before disconnecting fuel delivery pipe, relieve fuel pressure.
2. Drain coolant before removing water hose from BAC valve.


INSTALLATION NOTE

Air Intake Pipe Installation:

1. Apply small amount of clean engine oil to new air intake pipe O-rings. Use care not to damage O-rings during installation.
2. Tighten bolts to specification:

TORQUE: 70 - 95.4 inlb (7.9 - 10.7 Nm)
