Water Pump: Service and Repair

1. Deactivate audio anti-theft function, as outlined under Technician Safety Information, before disconnecting battery.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable and drain engine coolant.
3. Remove timing belt as outlined in Engine/Timing Belt.
4. Remove righthand engine mount, then the water pump, Fig. 20.

5. Reverse procedure to install, using new rubber seal.
6. Reactivate audio anti-theft function as outlined under Technician Safety Information.
