Clutch Pedal Assembly: Adjustments

Fig. 2, Clutch Pedal Adjustment:

1. Measure distance from upper surface of pedal pad to the carpet, measured distance should be between 7.32 - 8.31 inches.
2. If distance is not as specified, loosen locknut ``A'' and turn adjusting bolt ``B'' until specified height is obtained, Fig. 2. Tighten locknut after completing adjustment.
3. Depress pedal lightly by hand and measure clutch pedal play. Total clutch pedal freeplay should be 0.2 - 0.55 inches.
4. If clutch pedal freeplay is not satisfactory, loosen locknut ``C'' and turn pushrod ``D'' until distance from floor (with carpet) to center of upper surface of pedal pad is 2.64 inches when clutch is completely disengaged as shown in Fig. 2. After adjustment, tighten locknut.
