Pressure Regulator Control System:

PURPOSE
Temporarily raise fuel pressure to prevent vapor lock (fuel percolation) and improve idle quality during hot restart and for approximately 10 seconds after start.

LOCATION
PRC solenoid is on right side of intake manifold.

OPERATION
When PCME detects hot start conditions (see image), it cuts vacuum to fuel pressure regulator through control of the PRC solenoid, increasing fuel pressure.
