Evaporative Check Valve: Description and Operation

Evaporative Emission Control System:

TWO-WAY CHECK VALVE

Purpose
This valve controls pressure in the fuel tank by allowing air to enter or exit when in-tank vacuum or pressure reach specified levels.

Location
Rear side of fuel tank.

FUEL VAPOR VALVE

Purpose
The fuel vapor valve prevents liquid fuel from entering the evaporative control system and saturating the charcoal canister if the fuel tank is overfilled.

Location
Top of fuel tank.
