Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

1. Relieve fuel system pressure.
2. Disconnect intake duct from throttle body.

Dynamic Chamber To Manifold (Bolt Locations):

3. Remove dynamic chamber and throttle body, as an assembly, from intake manifold.
4. Disconnect vacuum and fuel hoses from fuel rail.
5. Unplug injector electrical connectors.
6. Remove fuel rail.
7. Remove injectors, O-rings, and insulators.
8. Install in reverse order. Lubricate injector O-rings with gasoline prior to installation. Tighten dynamic chamber to manifold bolts to specified torque.

14 - 19 ft lbs (19 - 15 Nm)

9. When installation is complete, energize fuel pump (jumper between "Fp" and "GND" terminals of diagnostic connector and turn ignition "ON") and make sure there are no leaks.
