Fig. 18 Clock Spring Connector Continuity Test:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove knee protector, then disconnect clock spring connectors (orange and blue).
3. Remove airbag module attaching nuts, then the module.
4. Check continuity between terminals of clock spring connector (blue), Fig. 18. Continuity should exist when A terminals of connectors A and B are tested or B terminals of connectors A and B are tested.
5. If continuity is not as specified, replace clock spring connector. The clock spring connector assembly is part of the combination switch and must be replace as an assembly.
