Throttle Body: Service and Repair

Throttle Body Replacement:

1. Be sure ignition is turned OFF.
2. Remove air pipe.
3. Remove accelerator cable from throttle lever.
4. Drain engine coolant to below level of ISC valve on bottom of throttle body.
5. Disconnect coolant hoses.
6. Disconnect ISC valve and throttle sensor electrical connectors.
7. Remove mounting bolts and lift throttle body from dynamic chamber.
8. Install in reverse order of removal. Use a new gasket.
9. Torque mounting bolts to 14 - 19 ft lb (19 - 25 Nm).
