Oil Seal (Change Rod Assembly)

1. Remove the drain plug and washer.
(Refer to Replacement). Service and Repair
2. Drain the oil into a suitable container.
3. Disconnect the change control rod from the transaxle.
4. Remove the joint and boot from the change rod assembly.




5. Remove the oil seal by using a screwdriver.

CAUTION:
- Apply the specified oil to the lip of the oil seal.
- Do not damage the oil seal.




6. Install the new oil seal by using a suitable pipe.

Outer diameter of pipe: 26mm (1.024 in)

CAUTION: Position the drain hole downward.




7. Install the boot and joint to the change rod assembly.

Tightening torque: 14-19 N.m (1.4-1.9 m-kg, 10-14 ft-lb)

8. Connect the change control rod.

Tightening torque: 16-23 N.m (1.6-2.3 m-kg, 12-17 ft-lb)




9. Add the specified amount and type of oil. Service and Repair
