Thermostat: Service and Repair

1. Drain engine coolant from radiator assembly.
2. Disconnect radiator hose from water pipe and thermostat housing assembly, located at the rear of the engine, above the transaxle.
3. Disconnect two heater hoses from the rear of the water pipe and thermostat housing, then remove two bolts retaining the assembly to the engine block.
4. Remove two thermostat housing cover retaining bolts, then thermostat.
5. Clean gasket material from mating surfaces.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
