Air Cleaner Housing: Description and Operation

Intake Air System:

^ The air cleaner assembly contains a paper filter element that removes dirt and dust particles from intake air.
^ A resonance chamber/silencer is connected to the intake air duct ahead of the air cleaner to reduce intake noise.
^ Other intake system components include a turbocharger and intercooler, air bypass valve, throttle body, bypass air control valve, air hoses, and ducts.
