Hydraulic Control Assembly - Antilock Brakes: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove igniter and fuel filter to bracket mounting bolts, then move filter and igniter toward engine.
3. Remove air cleaner assembly, electrical connector, then remove brake lines using special tool No. 490259770B or equivalent.
4. Remove mount bushings and nut and bolts.
5. Remove hydraulic unit.
6. Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a. Torque, brake lines to 9.4-16 ft. lbs.
b. Torque, hydraulic unit assembly to 14-17 ft. lbs.
