Throttle Body: Description and Operation
Throttle Body:
The throttle body regulates the amount of air allowed into the engine depending on the drivers demand for power. The farther the throttle is opened the more air and fuel are burned in each cylinder cycle, and the more power is produced. The throttle body consists of two throttle valves on a common shaft, a throttle position sensor, and a cold start valve mounted in the top of the throttle body housing.
