Cold Start Injector: Description and Operation

Cold Start Injector:

The cold start injector, located on the throttle body, is an electrically operated solenoid valve used to provide additional fuel into the dynamic chamber during cold starts. It gets battery power when the ignition is turned to the start position and energizes for as long as the circuit is completed to ground through the cold start thermoswitch (listed separately in this section).
