Fuel Rail: Description and Operation
Fuel Injectors And Related Components:
The fuel rail is a reservoir that supplies fuel at equal pressure to all the injectors. Its volume is larger than that of a fuel hose or tube so that when one injector opens, it doesn't cause a pressure drop in the fuel supplied to the other injectors. Injectors are installed in the intake manifold and held in place by the fuel rail. The fuel pressure regulator and pulsation damper are mounted on a machined block that is part of the fuel rail.
