By using the control unit's self-diagnosis function and a voltmeter, system malfunctions can be easily detected. On 1990-92 models connect the voltmeter to the C terminal of the check connector in the engine compartment and read the output patterns, referring to troubleshooting chart, Fig. 11, and appropriate flow charts.
