Canister Purge Control Valve: Testing and Inspection

1986-88 RX-7

1. Disconnect hose between purge valve and oil filler pipe at the purge valve.
2. Start engine and run at idle.
3. Place a finger on port opening and ensure air is not drawn into port.
4. Increase engine speed to 2000 RPM and ensure air is drawn into port.
