Fig. 21 Checking continuity between intake air temperature sensor & control unit.:

1. Check connections of intake air temperature sensor (dynamic chamber) electrical connectors, repairing or replacing as necessary.
2. If connections are satisfactory, check resistance of intake air temperature sensor. Refer to ``Component Testing.''
3. If resistance is not within specifications, replace intake air temperature sensor.
4. If resistance is within specifications, check continuity between intake air temperature sensor and EGI control unit, Fig. 21.
5. If continuity is not as shown, check for open or short circuit in wiring harness.
6. If continuity is as shown, there is short circuit in wiring harness or EGI control unit is defective.
